A lot is happening in our great country, Nigeria, especially in politics as the nation prepares for another general election in 2023. We have tried to capture how the nation’s leading political parties, the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and the leading opposition, the Peoples’ Democratic Party in particular, are jostling to get the nod of their parties for nomination to contest for next year’s polls. The titanic battle ahead is captured in this edition.
But of more interest to Nigerians is who among the big names like Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Orji Uzor Kalu, Atiku Abubakar, Gov. Nyesom Wike, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Gov. Aminu Tambuwal, Gov. Bala Muhammed, Anyim Pius Anyim, Engr. Dave Umahi, etc, will get their various parties’ tickets for the presidential election. We try to provide the answer. Still on 2023 elections, we conducted an interview with a presidential aspirant of Igbo extraction, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa. He did not just speak of his chances but also his magic wand to turn the fortunes of the country around if elected as president.

Then, to Supremacy Magazine’s maiden edition of its 2021 Awards, “The Supremacy Magazine African Leadership Awards” and lecture were conducted at Ladi Kwali Hall of the Sheraton Hotel, Abuja towards the end of 2021, in a blaze of glory. The lecture for the event was delivered by no other personality than the Tunisian born Secretary General of the United Towns Agency for North South Cooperation, Ms Eya Essif. Indeed the entire event left memories that will endure, possibly for a long time to come.
As a caring magazine and in furtherance of our social responsibility, we delved into the humanitarian crisis in the North East. The case of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) continues unabated in the North East region of the country. We took time to cover report of the crisis occasioned by the insurgency war in the region with the hope that it will make the authorities and international agencies to do more to alleviate the sufferings of the people in the troubled region.
We also enriched the edition with a special report on final preparations for the local council election in Enugu state which the governor is in full control.
On sports, we captured the report on the 33rd edition of the African Cup of Nations, AFCON, held in Cameroon. It is now history, as Senegal’s Teranga Lions are the new kings of African football. We have nevertheless, packaged the report in a scintillating manner for the delight of our readers, especially sports lovers.
