Dr Mabel Ebele Magbulu-Monina, accomplished businesswoman, entrepreneur, Chief Executive Officer of Eagles Height Properties and Investment Limited, a real estate outfit and an Amazon with depth knowledge on diverse issues was the guest of Supremacy Magazine where she responded to the various questions fielded by the Supremacy editorial team led by the Publisher, Princess Abigail Amalaha. Ma, can we officially meet you. Who is Dr Mabel Ebele Magbulu-Monina?
Mabel Ebele Magbulu-Monina, D.Sc, FCIMN, FIMC, CMC, have a passion for creativity coupled with a self-motivated, hard-working character. As a serial entrepreneur, I have imbibed the core values of integrity, competence, and capacity in every aspect of my personal, professional, business, and social life. I strive to display a high sense of initiative and responsibility in all of my endeavors. I am a great leader, team player, a minister of the gospel, an Author and inspiration to those in the social and economic sectors wherein I operate. My broad goal is to create, govern, and manage highly professional, enduring, and high net-worth businesses and organizations. Above all, I create and strive towards my objectives with a passion for excellence.

Since incorporation in 2018, Eagle’s Height has grown into one of the fastest growing key player in the Real Estate industry in Nigeria. We have become the most sought-after Real Estate company since the launch of our “Everyone a landlord Campaign’’. You are a successful entrepreneur and a role model, not only to women but also the younger generation. What is your advice to young women who wants to venture into entrepreneurship?
My advice to everyone that desire to be successful, is to first of all know that success is not accidental but must be intentionally engaged. Which means that you have to work hard to be able to attain any position you want to achieve. My formula has always been Big Dream plus Hard work all over Faith in God, will be always equal to success. Nothing takes the place of hard work, so I urge all aspiring entrepreneurs to be ready to put in the work required for greatness.

What is your view on the issue of housing for all in the nearest future? How realistic is that?
We all know that Nigeria is currently facing housing deficit, this means that we need many more houses to be constructed throughout the six geopolitical zones. To curb this problem, the government and the real estate industry need to properly form a synergy to solve this issue. We have lots of luxurious houses that are built either by individuals or others but these houses have no occupant due to high prices. We need houses that the middle class and low income earners can have access to acquire. With my observation in the industry, the only solution to this, is to build Affordable Homes, which is the reason our company Eagles Height Properties Ltd rolled out the campaign on “Everyone a landlord”. Lastly, the government needs to look into funding genuine real estate projects by making mortgage criteria flexible for many to access.

In every business, there are challenges. In your view and from experience garnered over the years, what are the major challenges of the Estate business?
Yeah! Lots of challenges but the major one I can boldly say is funding. We find it difficult to receive financial leverage from the banks which is affecting the growth of the business. We are in a high-ticket industry and lots of money is required to carry out the business, but since getting loans is hard, things are not moving the way it ought to.

Who are your models and those that played prominent role in your success story?
Well, I have lots of role models those that are alive and some others in the great beyond. There is a man that has really helped in shaping my business/professional acumen even when I had no knowledge of who I am. He discovered those hidden potentials and supported me to keep on trying. That man is Mr. Babatunde Odutola. Also, my Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy Church through his teachings change my negative mindset to a positive successful one. I have lots of others that through their books and tapes have inspired greatness in me, Robert Leap, Earl Nightingale, Les Brown, Will Edward, Brainy Tracy, Dr. Myles Munroe and lots more.

Apart from business, are you involved in politics or are you thinking in that direction?
Nope! I have never been involved in politics and not thinking of getting into it. Though I understand the important of politics in the human society but I don’t think I have interest on that area. In future I can support a candidate with integrity but for now I am okay.

What is your candid view on Women and Politics?
I want women to know that they have greatness in them and they have the capacity to achieve anything they desire in life. I want those women waiting for their husband to provide everything for them to wake up and get something doing. I don’t like that notion of I am a full time housewife. We have passed that age where women are been relegated to the background all because of marriage. Marriage is good and God said a woman is a help mate to her husband, Genesis 2:18 and Proverbs 31:10-31. Let us know that God never encouraged a woman to be idle. You can achieve greatness in any area including politics.
